Gastrostomy and tube feeding support

There are many different reasons that someone requires an enteral feeding tube and many different types that can be fitted.  They are often used when a person has a condition or injury that prevents eating a regular diet by mouth, but their Gastrointestinal tract is still able to function. The feeding method chosen will depend upon the individual person’s circumstances and whether these are needed short-term or long-term.  At Ocean Healthcare we have experience of caring for people with different types of feeding tubes including:

  • Nasogastric tube feeding (NG).
  • Jejunostomy tube (JEJ).
  • Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG).
  • Gastrojejunostomy (GJ)
  • Button gastrostomy (more frequently used in children).

“The Ocean Team leaders and carers are amazing. We really value their support."

“We would still of been in the hospital waiting if we didn’t have the care in place from Ocean Healthcare.”
