Understanding the Costs & Arranging Care

How Do You Arrange Care?

Looking for care for yourself or a loved one? We’re here to help! Whether you prefer to call us directly, request a call back, or fill out our confidential enquiry form, we’re ready to discuss your needs. We can often provide a free, no-obligation quote on the same working day, though the final price might change after a detailed assessment.

How Much Care Do You Need?

We usually provide care for at least four hours at a time, given the nature of our services. However, if you need less than that, just give us a call. We’re happy to chat about your specific needs and see what we can do.

When Do You Need Care?

Our care is all about you and your schedule. We can arrange care shifts from 7am to 11pm, night shifts from 8pm to 8am, sleeping night shifts, and even round-the-clock care if needed.

Do You Need Funding Options for Complex Care?

Understanding how to fund care is crucial. In the UK, care for those with complex healthcare needs is often free of charge. Here are the main funding sources:

NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC)

Provides medical or healthcare support for individuals up to 18 years old, subject to eligibility.

Local Authority Funding

Your local council might cover some or all of the costs for personal and social care, based on a means test.

Self-Funding or Private Funding

Sometimes, individuals, families, or third parties (like insurance firms) cover care costs.

NHS Healthcare Funding

To get this funding, an individual needs to be assessed by their medical team and arrangements are made through regional Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs).

Local Authority Social Care Funding

For help with day-to-day tasks at home, your local council might assist with the costs, depending on your financial situation.

Personal Care Budgets (PCB)

If you qualify for funding, you’ll receive a Personal Care Budget (PCB). This can be managed in three ways:

1. Direct Payment: You get the money directly.

2. Managed Account: An account is managed by a local authority or third party, but you decide how it’s spent.

3. Direct Payment to a Provider: The money goes directly to a care provider.

You can also choose a mix of these options for more flexibility.

Costs of Complex Care at Home

Choosing a carer is a big decision with many questions. We’ll work with you, your family, and medical professionals to develop a personalized care plan. The cost of full-time complex care at home is similar to nursing home care, but with the comfort of staying at home. Our rates range from £26 to £40 per hour, sometimes higher.

We offer a free assessment within three working days of your enquiry, and will confirm costs after that.
