Care Assistant

Various Shifts | Weekend Days and Nights - Weekday Nights | Part-Time and Bank Contracts Available

Join Ocean Healthcare’s Complex Care Team in Plymouth, supporting adults in their own homes through consistent, high-quality care. We’re looking for confident, committed Care Assistants to provide specialist 1:1 or 2:1 support for children and/or adults with complex health needs.

Who do we support?

You’ll be supporting adults with complex care needs in their home environment or in the community. Care may be delivered on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis, depending on needs.

Complex care in Plymouth includes;

• Airway management and monitoring

• PEG feeding

• Medication administration

• Tracheostomy care

• Cough assist

• Deep suction

We’ll talk you through the specific packages of care so you know exactly what to expect.

Training & Support

You’ll receive specialist, face-to-face training delivered by our nurse-led clinical team and expert trainers, tailored to the individual you’ll be supporting. We don’t expect you to know everything on day one - we make sure you’re prepared, confident and supported before you step into the role.

Pay Rates & Shifts:

• Part-Time and Bank contracts available

• Weekday Night Shifts and Weekend Day Shifts Available

• Pay rates starting from £13.70 - £17.05 per hour, depending on complexity

What You’ll Need:

• At least 1 year of UK experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker

• Two UK work references (at least one must be care-related)

• Reliability and Good Communication

• Right to work in the UK (We do not offer Work Visa)
