Complex Care HCA – St. Austell | Nights | Contracted Hours Available

Ocean Healthcare is looking for an experienced Care Assistant to join a small, dedicated team supporting a child with highly complex healthcare needs in their own home.

This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to a young person's life. They love spending time with their family, building with Lego, playing with their favourite toys and making the most of every good day. Like any child, they enjoy learning, laughing and being surrounded by people who help them feel confident, safe and included.

Behind the scenes, however, they rely on an experienced team to provide specialist clinical care that enables them to continue living safely at home with their family. Their health needs are complex and can change quickly, meaning you'll need to remain calm, observant and confident in recognising when they need additional support.

Working waking nights, you'll provide specialist respiratory care including BiPAP ventilation, continuous monitoring and airway management, alongside enteral feeding and other complex clinical interventions. You'll play a vital role in recognising subtle changes, responding appropriately and ensuring they remain safe, comfortable and well throughout the night.

This isn't a role where you'll simply follow a routine. It requires clinical competence, sound judgement and genuine compassion. In return, you'll become part of a highly supportive, nurse-led team where you'll receive ongoing clinical guidance and have the opportunity to develop specialist skills while helping a remarkable young person enjoy life as fully as possible.

Shift Details:

  • Monday - Sunday: 21:00 - 07:00

  • Working closely with the family and Ocean Healthcare's Clinical Team
