Experienced Care Assistant to support a young girl living with complex needs in Uffculme, Cullompton. Night shifts available: 21:00–07:00 (2 nights per week)

Ocean Healthcare is looking for an experienced Care Assistant to provide night support for a young girl living with complex needs. She was born at 28 weeks and requires ongoing monitoring and support overnight.

She receives nutrition via an NG feeding tube, uses low-flow oxygen and requires continuous glucose monitoring to keep her safe through the night. She is an interactive, smiley child who is beginning to take independent steps and lives at home with her parents.

Shift Details:

21:00 – 07:00 2 nights per week (nights can be flexible)

Pay Rates:

  • Monday–Thursday: £14.40 p/hr

  • Friday: £14.65 p/hr

  • Bank Holidays: £19.05 p/hr

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuous overnight supervision

  • Monitoring and managing high blood sugar levels

  • Supporting oxygen use and NG feeding

  • Ensuring comfort, safety and reassurance through the night

What We're Looking For

  • Warm, confident, patient and reliable

  • Minimum 1 year of care experience, including experience looking after children

  • Able to remain attentive and proactive throughout night shifts

  • Someone who builds trust easily and works well within a family environment

The ideal candidate would be a confident, calm and experienced Care Assistant. You'll have experience working with children. Experience with NG feeding would be great but not required as full training and support will be provided.

What You'll Need

  • Good References (covering at least 3 years)

  • You must be a car driver

  • Reliability and good communication

  • Right to to work in the UK
