Care Assistant (Complex Care)

Ocean Healthcare are looking for an experienced female Care Assistant to support an 8-year-old girl to go to primary school in Brixham. This lovely and spirited little girl has Spinal Muscular Atrophy and requires someone who will be confident with the following:

Deep suction - Physio - PEG Feeding - Cough Assist - Medication handling

Excellent training and support provide by our fabulous team of trainers and nurses.

She is blessed with a wonderful family (mum, dad and brother) who are passionate about supporting her to enjoy life to the full. She is a very clever little girl with a great sense of humour. She loves music, books, and using her iPad.

You will be working 1:1 with her at school

Must be a non-smoker

Shift Details:

08:45-15:15 Monday-Friday (term time only)

Ideally you'd be available to do 2 or more shifts per week. There are other times to support as well if you are able to outside of school hours. This includes Tuesday nights and some weekends. Note: It is not essential that you cover any out of school support.

The ideal candidate would be an experienced carer including personal care and moving and handling.

Pay Rates: £13.50 p/hr Mon-Fri

Note: Paid Weekly or Monthly

For consistency a minimum availability of 2-3 days a week would be preferable up to a maximum of 4 days each week. Flexibility would be appreciated, but we are willing to consider your personal circumstances if there are days/times you are unable to work.

Mileage paid after your first 7 miles to this location in Brixham up to a maximum of 20 miles each way.
