Ocean Healthcare are looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to support a 12-year-old boy with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and displaced hips. He is Gastrostomy fed, requires oral suction, medication, and personal care. He is Non-verbal and non-mobile.
This young boy likes being entertained with lights, music, and a noisy busy environment. He loves being with people dislikes alone or quiet times. When he’s at school he enjoys swimming.

Shift Details:
4pm – 8:30pm, Every Tuesday and Every Other Wednesday.
Occasional night shifts will be available
The ideal candidate would be a resilient, seasoned carer with a solid understanding of personal care, and experience with moving and handling. Experience with epilepsy, cerebral palsy, gastro feeding, medication and oral suction is required.
You need to be an experienced carer. It is not essential that you have specific experience working with complex needs as you will get all the training you need. You will be trained and supported by our outstanding team of specialists and nurses. This will involve training and shadowing until one of our nurses is happy to sign you off as competent. Training is paid for.
Pay Rates:
£13.50 p/hr Mon-Fri
£16.05 p/hr Saturday - Sunday
£19.05 p/hr Bank Holidays
Note: Paid Weekly or Monthly
Mileage paid after your first 7 miles to this location in Sampford Peverell up to a maximum of 20 miles each way.
