Care Assistant

Ocean Healthcare are looking for an experienced Female Care Assistant to support a lovely 15-year-old girl through the day in Totnes.

She has Retts Syndrome (which affects brain development and results in severe physical and mental disability). She also has epilepsy, scoliosis (curvature of the spine) and is PEG fed. She is non-verbal, requires the use of a wheelchair for all of her mobility needs and is hoisted for all her transfers.

You must be willing to be involved in family dynamics as she lives at home with her mum and 2 siblings. Her dad works away but is home sometimes and they have a big dog making for a busy and vibrant household.

You will be working 1:1

Shift Details:

• 0900 -1700 (Weekends)

Pay Rates:

• £16.05 p/hr Saturday - Sunday

Flexibility would be appreciated, but we are willing to consider your personal circumstances if there are days/times you are unable to work.

Mileage paid after your first 7 miles to this location in Totnes up to a maximum of 20 miles each way.

• Right to to work in the UK (We do not offer Work Visa)
