Join Ocean Healthcare’s Complex Care Team in Cornwall – Specialist Training Provided

We’re looking for experienced and committed carers to join our Complex Care team in Cornwall – specifically around Bodmin and St Austell. Supporting both adults and children with a wide range of complex care needs.

You’ll be working night shifts typically from 20:00 to 08:00, delivering care and support to individuals in their own homes. While there can be flexibility around days, we are looking for a minimum availability of 16 hours (2 nights) per week.

Who do we support?

In this role you could be working with people of all ages from infants through to adults. Care can be provided on both 1:1 and 2:1 basis. In Cornwall, we support a number of adults and children living with complex health needs which can cover a wide range of things including epilepsy, enteral feeding, learning disabilities, trachy/vented, medication management, neurological conditions, catheter/bowel/stoma and moving & handing.

You’ll be fully prepared for your role through face-to-face training delivered by our nurse-led team and expert Trainers. We tailor your training to the specific needs of the service users you’ll be supporting. This will give you the confidence and skills needed to make a real difference.

Pay Rates & Shifts:

Night shifts are mostly 12 hours and can be waking or sleeping shifts. We'll work with you to match you and your availability to the individuals we are supporting.

Pay Rates range from £13.00-£18.55 per hour. Rates vary by shift type (day/night/weekend) and by complexity.

About You

We’re looking for people who are:

• Experienced in delivering high-quality care

• Compassionate, reliable and professional

• Comfortable working night shifts and lone working

• Flexible and able to travel to and within the Bodmin and St Austell areas

• Keen to learn and develop through our specialist training

Experience supporting people with complex health needs is an advantage – but full training is provided for every service user you’ll work with.

What You’ll Need:

• At least 1 year of UK experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker.

• Two UK work references (at least one must be care-related).

• Reliability and Good Communication

• Right to work in the UK (We do not offer Work Visa)
