Shaldon
Experienced Care Assistant to support a gentleman in his 60s with Motor Neurone Disease in Shaldon. Nights available Monday to Sunday.
Ocean Healthcare is looking for an experienced Care Assistant to provide 2:1 support for a gentleman in his 60s living with Motor Neurone Disease, a rare neurological condition that progressively damages parts of the nervous system. He has a tracheostomy for airway management, is ventilator-dependent for respiratory support, has a PEG for feeding and a colostomy.
He requires full support with mobility, using a wheelchair and hoist for transfers and uses eye gaze technology to communicate.
He enjoys getting out into the community, going shopping and spending time on his boat during the summer.
Shift Details:
20:00-08:00 Monday to Sunday
Note: it would be great if you were flexible enough to do 1 or 2 nights per week, but we recognise that doesn't suit everyone. Please contact us if you're interested and would like to discuss your availability.
Pay Rates:
£14.80 p/hr Monday - Thursday
£15.05 p/hr Friday
£17.05 p/hr Saturday - Sunday
£20.05 p/hr Bank Holidays

What You'll Need
Good References (covering at least 3 years)
You must be a car driver
Reliability and good communication
Right to to work in the UK (We do not offer Work Visa)
